Our Pastors
Pastor Derrick Hurst is our Missions Pastor. When you join us for worship, you will most likely see Pastor Derrick. Pastor Derrick is passionate about connecting people to Jesus who don't already know Him and pushing those who do know Jesus into a deeper relationship with Him. Pastor Derrick also focuses on training for outreach, faith story development, and providing tools to connect people to Jesus. Pastor Derrick and his wife, Carrie, have been blessed with twin boys and a baby girl. Together Pastor Derrick and Carrie are committed to igniting and encouraging a passion for Christ where they live, work, and play!
Pastor Brian Larson is the Lead Pastor for Atonement Lutheran Church. If you visit our main campus at 1621 Francisco Road, you'll most likely find him there. Pastor Brian is passionate about caring for people by extending the forgiveness of Jesus to others. It's the same forgiveness he consistantly experienced growing up in the Church. His dominant focus in ministry is worship, preaching, and teaching. Pastor Brian and his wife, Sarah, have two young children and are motivated to make their future with Jesus and His people as bright as can be.
Marlene Meyers is the Director of Music Ministries for Atonement Lutheran Church. The majority of Marlene's time is spent at the main campus, preparing for worship, leading the choirs, and striving for excellence. Marlene has a wonderful talent for bringing new faces, and voices, into the worship experience on a regular basis.
Will Smith is the Director of Youth Ministries at Atonement Lutheran Church. Aside from sharing a name with a pretty popular movie star, Will shares a deep passion for connecting young people to the love and forgiveness of Jesus! Will does a wonderful job welcoming new youth to the Junior and Senior High School groups. He also works closely with our Wednesday evening KIC (Kids in Christ) ministry! Will floats between the two campuses regularly and participates in the worship both in Marysville and in Columbus.
Carmen Fryman is the Director of Atonement Lutheran Preschool (ALPS). Carmen believes firmly that children are a gift from God. She constantly works to help the children grow in a variety of ways. Carmen not only is present at ALPS daily but she is also seen doing many other service items around our main campus.
